Community: FMYI’s commitment to people

At the heart of FMYI’s culture is an authentic soul. Our mission at FMYI is to empower teams to make a difference. We are committed to running FMYI based upon the triple bottom line strategy of considering people, planet and profit in all that we do. Each member of our team realizes the importance of taking individual action to participate in the community, in addition to commitment by the company.

Featured partners

Oregon Environmental Council – Many of the FMYI Team live in Portland, Oregon and all of us enjoy clean air and water, beautiful landscape and local food. Oregon Environmental Council joins people together for the benefit of Oregon’s outdoor environment—they tackle any size of environmental challenge and keep our state clean with future generations in mind. It’s Your Oregon.
In support of OEC, FMYI is and has been a premier sponsor of the annual event Celebrate Oregon.

Portland Parks Foundation – With our headquarters in urban Portland, we believe it is important to support local parks. City parks provide a slice of nature in a concrete jungle and foster community interaction that enrich lives and bring people together. The foundation is committed to three aspects of our urban parks: the land, the amenities, and the people.

Northwest Earth Institute – As a long time supporter of education and employee engagement around sustainability through the many discussion courses offered by the Northwest Earth Institute, we are proud to continue our support of NWEI as a sponsor and corporate participant of EcoChallenge 2010.
Shake It Till We Make It – The Brian Grant Foundation supports and funds research dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease and to finding improved therapies for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Additionally, it supports efforts toward the education and awareness of the disease in order to increase earlier diagnosis, educate patients and their families, and provide a viable forum for people affected by Parkinson’s disease. The inaugural event – Shake It Till We Make It – brought together Michael J. Fox, Muhammad Ali, Pat Riley, Raphael Saadiq and others for a celebrity gala and golf tournament in 2010, and 2011 is bringing the second annual event. We are proud to be the organization’s Team Communications Sponsor, providing a collaboration site for the event.

Aflac Cancer Center –
Between infancy and 15 years of age, cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among U.S. children. We believe it is important to invest in opportunities for the next generation. The Aflac Cancer Center provides premier care for children that need a chance, plus partnering with organizations with innovative research to find a cure.
For over 125 years, the National Crittenton Foundation supports empowerment, self-sufficiency, and the end of cycles of destructive behaviors for girls, young women and their families who live at the margin of the American dream.
