Chris Atencio, Director of Product Management. Chris graduated from Johns Hopkins with a degree in biomedical engineering, which he seems to have chosen after finding that it was the most difficult degree. After living in Brazil for a short while, he and his family have come back stateside and Chris now works for FMYI from New Orleans.
Courtney Timm, Marketing Manager. Born and raised south of Portland on a llama farm, Courtney completed an International Studies degree at University of Oregon. More recently, she has been backpacking through Australia, India and East Africa and not long ago received her Masters degree in International Management (MIM) from Portland State University.
Eric Rath, Director of Technology. After graduating from University of Virginia in Mathematics, Eric picked up programming and became FMYI’s first employee in 2005. His efforts have literally made FMYI what it is today. When not hiding behind massive computer monitors, Eric enjoys worshiping the New York Yankees and caring for his young sons, Calvin and Lou—who are rumored to already have full beards.
Evan Moore, Marketing and Product Coordinator. Recently graduated from Seattle Pacific University and back from traveling China, Evan splits time between the marketing and development teams. He is locally renowned for his accident prone cell phones and enjoys playing soccer and taking pictures for the FMYI team.
Graeme Byrd, Business Development & Collaboration Manager. Graeme majored in film studies at Willamette University and went on to shoot documentary films and shorts, including work with The Orphanage, the Oregon Holocaust Resource Center and International Korean Adoptee Associations. He has a background in higher education marketing and local store marketing for national and international restaurants. He serves on the Emerging Leaders Board for the Oregon Environmental Council and is the Chapter Leader for Net Impact Portland’s Professional Chapter. Graeme is also FMYI’s resident San Francisco Giants fan and a devoted Dylanologist (Bob Dylan fan).
Holly Brickey, Account Manager. Holly was raised in Atlanta, GA where she studied General Business at Clayton State University. Holly joined the FMYI team after working for Del Monte Foods in Sales and Customer Service. She enjoys karaoke and playing the piano as well as working for FMYI on a flexible schedule so she can also be a full time mom.
Joy Tayler, Director of Human Energy. Following her graduation from Montclair State University with a degree in Commercial Recreation and Tourism, Joy worked professionally as an actress for seven years in New York City. She has been an entertainment manager at Walt Disney World and a casting producer for various national television programs (MTV, WE, TVLand). Joy has recently taken a more prominent role at FMYI, as her son grows up.
Justin Yuen, President. Justin Yuen is President of FMYI [for my innovation], a collaboration software company with a sustainability commitment. Clients have included Nike, Sony, Aflac, Fox, HBO, Hyatt, Disney, Office Depot, Target, Martha Stewart, Scholastic, Macy’s, and thousands of other companies, government agencies, universities, and nonprofits. FMYI is the 13th fastest growing private company in Oregon and has been covered by the New York Times, Businessweek, GigaOM, CMSWire, BNET, Web Worker Daily, Salon.com, The Oregonian, Silicon Florist, MarcGunther.com, and more. Justin was named to the Portland Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” rising business stars list and a 2011 Pivotal Clean Technology Business Leader. Before launching the company, he was a Senior Manager in Corporate Sustainable Development at Nike, Inc. Prior to that, Justin was Nike’s head of Footwear Quality for the Europe/Middle East/Africa region in the Netherlands. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Portland Parks Foundation, the Northwest Earth Institute, the Board of Trustees of The National Crittenton Foundation, and is a member of the Metro Portland Community Investment Initiative Leadership Council and the Chair of Multnomah County Advisory Committee on Sustainability and Innovation. He is also on the Advisory Board for Portland State University’s Center for Global Leadership in Sustainability. Formerly, he served as the Co-Chair of the Portland/Multnomah County Sustainable Development Commission, was Chair of the Board of Directors for The Natural Step Network, the Advisory Board of the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute For Global Sustainable Business, Portland State University’s Implementing Sustainability Program, and the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Justin has completed courses in the Executive Education Program at the Columbia University School of Business and holds a degree in International Studies from The Johns Hopkins University. He has been a speaker at Fortune Magazine’s “Brainstorm Green”, US Army, Pentagon, NASA, Globe 2004, Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum, Net Impact, Internet Professionals Northwest, and numerous other conferences and universities.
Katrina Yuen, Director of Human Resources and Operations. Katrina was born in the Philippines, moved to California at the age of 3, and graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in business. Later, Katrina worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Netherlands for American expatriates. After two years in the Netherlands, she worked in Human Resources at Nike’s World Headquarters. Katrina also has her own online eco-business, MNLstyle.
Michael Woodson, Senior Software Engineer. After Michael was born in raised in Hawaii, he attended to Western Washington University, where he graduated in a mere 3 years with a degree in Computer Science. Michael has been a programmer for 13+ years, and is FMYI’s resident newlywed and Seattle Mariners fan, though he represents FMYI from Austin.
Nong Vinitchaikul, Designer. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in architecture, Nong moved to Chicago where she interned at various firms and enjoyed the windy city’s diverse dining scene. Wanderlust brought her to Portland where for four years she worked on the design development of museum buildings at Allied Works Architecture. Currently, Nong splits her time between graphic designing for FMYI and listening to her toddlers laugh.
Roger Kang, Finance. Roger grew up in Princeton, NJ and headed west for college at the University of California, Berkeley. After getting his degree in Economics, he went on to perform valuations of private companies while at Arthur Andersen. Roger helps with finance at FMYI and is the go to expert for advice on gadgets.
Sarah Haskell, Account Manager. Sarah double majored in International Studies and Music Performance at George Fox University before bringing strong sustainability interests and years of customer support experience to the FMYI team. She has traveled to 5 continents and enjoys spending time reading, playing the piano, rock climbing, and watching Law & Order.
Seth Tayler, Vice President, Marketing/Sales. Prior to joining the FMYI management team, Seth spent nine years as a television producer for Fox, CBS, Sony Pictures Television, Kingworld, Paramount Pictures Domestic Television, and MTV Networks in New York. In this capacity he placed thousands of businesses, products and people in the media spotlight. He has also provided organization and media consultation, affording him the privilege to work with high-profile executives. Seth completed academic training in the field of computer science as well as a bachelor degree in Broadcasting from Montclair State University. At the age of 24, he was already one of the youngest producers ever in Nationally Syndicated television. Seth’s work contributed to the winning of prestigious awards in the television community and is a member of the Producer’s Guild of America.
Tanya Person-Irby, Account Manager. After receiving a Masters degree in Broadcasting, Tanya worked in TV production for 15 years and was even a part of a Daytime Emmy winning production team. Tanya then taught high school for a bit, and is now a professor at Bethune-Cookman University as well as a part time account manager for FMYI.
