So after over two months of using an iPad for work, what are my conclusions about the future of the iPad in the workplace? To recap, I decided to get an iPad, set it up, and left the laptop at the office, and then used the iPad exclusively for a week to see if it could be a laptop replacement.

Okay, so it’s impossible to shield yourself from the iPad hype. Especially for an Apple fanboy like myself. I mean, an entire episode of Modern Family revolved around it. I’ve read the mammoth Arstechnica and iLounge reviews. I’ve stalked early adopters on New Jersey Transit to take a sneak peek. It got to the point where my wife limited my iPad talk to one mention a day.

Thinking about rolling out a collaboration site at work? Been researching online workspaces but you’re not sure how to get one going? There’s a lot of buzz about the social enterprise, collaboration software, crowdsourcing, etc. But frequently there are obstacles to getting full user adoption. Do you remember Brian Grant? The tenacious Power Forward for the Portland Trailblazers, Miami Heat, and the Los Angeles Lakers with a big heart? Well, he has Parkinson’s. Got it when he was 37. True to his character, Brian turned it into a positive. Something bigger than his already huge battle.
We are honored to present our largest donation to date, to the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service. We are very grateful that our contribution will help fund innovative research and we look forward to the day when we all can say that childhood cancer is cured.
